We’ve added three features that we hope you’ll enjoy — support for playing videos, camera nodes, and the ability to export Vuo compositions as standalone Mac OS X applications. This release is also packed with editor improvements, more example compositions, and performance enhancements.
The best way to find out what’s inside is to read the release notes. Subscribers can download Vuo 0.5.3 + example compositions by logging in to https://vuo.org/user, then clicking the Subscriber tab.
We also wanted to let you know we’ve added a new feature to our website — discussions! Click on the Community tab to start a new discussion.
A special request for those using Mac OS 10.6 and 10.7 — Recent versions of Mac OS X have introduced new graphics features. We’d like to be able to take advantage of these new features, but to do so, we’d have to discontinue support for 10.6 and 10.7. To make an informed decision about when to discontinue support for 10.6 and 10.7, we need to know how many of you would be affected, and if you are ready to migrate to 10.8 or 10.9 to run Vuo. So, if you are running Vuo on 10.6 or 10.7, can you please let us know what it would mean for you?
