I would like to be able to select (and copy) the port attributes in the port info window. Sometimes there are values that would be easily copied for use in development, (point numbers etc).

When you say "copied for use
When you say "copied for use in development", do you mean copied from one port to another? If so, we would want to implement it by copying directly from the port value rather than from the summary text in the popover. Would that solve your problem?

Actually I mean to be able to copy the numbers just from the text itself. As in mouse over and copy.

Since the thing I mentioned turned out to different from what you had in mind, I put it on its own feature request: Be able to copy constant values from one input port to another.
