If you click on a port that already has been expanded into a floating palette window nothing happens. Maybe the palette window could blink off and on again or just some little signal flash in the title bar so it's easy to find out of a group of them.

Something that has become a
Something that has become a more standard part of UI is a toast-style notification. (see example)
I could see this as a useful piece of the Vuo UI. You see these kind of notifications in Figma, for example.
In the case of this thread, it say a popover already exists. Of course, I think in this particular case the best UX is to spawn another popover. But in general, it would be handy to be able to have Vuo issue non-blocking warnings.

keithlang it's almost like a
keithlang it's almost like a Console.app but with notifications. I get sick of all my macOS notifications at times, especially the duplicates, so I'd maybe want to keep Vuo notifications separate, but maybe not.
Vuo Editor could also just flash a line on the screen between the port and the popup?
