Fixed in Vuo version:

OS version:

  • macOS 10.14

How severely does this bug affect you?:

●○○○ — Not much; I'm just letting you know about it.

Steps causing the bug to occur:

  1. Select "Save Frames to Movie" node in library
  2. Open example composition reported at the end of the node documentation "Record Movie"
  3. That composition doesn't use "save Frame to Movie", using "Save Image to Movie" instead.

Other notes:

I can't understand the difference between the two nodes.

Mic,

Yes, it can be confusing, and the example composition provided doesn't help. As the video node set documentation says:

Vuo provides 2 nodes for saving images and audio to movie files:

Save Images to Movie — Useful for realtime recording. Simply feed images (and optionally audio) to this node, and it records them in a movie file in realtime. Each frame’s timestamp is derived from the time at which the image or audio event arrives at this node.
Save Frames to Movie — Useful for non-realtime exporting and rotoscoping. This node lets you explicitly specify the timestamps for images and audio sample buffers.

We will be adding a rotoscoping example composition for Save Frames to Movie. Thanks for helping us make this clearer.
