Currently use QC to make custom layers for Bonix TV - a vision mixing kind of application for OS X with a kind of QC stack of layers, each layer being a composition with published ports and some protocols for data types. Also generate sports graphics and twitter feeds and so on for video score boards at large sporting venues.
Spent a few years learning Quartz Composer as my way back into coding from a decade away doing design related work. Film, graphics, studied Architecture for a few years and got involved in publishing then film. Now moving into front side web development. Hope to get into app dev with Vuo and rapid app prototyping.
I often option drag say a Process List node and go to rewire it and it wont accept the cables. I am guessing* that this is something to do with the nodes auto-converting to the node variant particular input and output data type.
When nodes are locked to some datatype there could be some visual indication on the node, a symbol or something/anything. When copied nodes should revert to a state as a newly instanced node from the node library. Unless they've been copied with other nodes and still wired to these other nodes.
Please change the FR title to better reflect this request and the underlying issues if this FR is in fact relevant.
Yes scrollable and also condense the info in less verbose and white-space hungry way if at all possible without losing important info. I'm think here of layer lists. I don't need all the details just to recognise which elements are where in a list, i.e. has the previous node done what it was supposed to.

Holding down Shift Key while drawing a marquee in the editor should toggle the selection state of all nodes the overlap the area selected. Currently as soon as one clicks in the Editor comp window while holding the Shift Key down whatever is selected is deselected before one can add or subtract from the selection of nodes.
Command Key held down while marqueeing could just select wires not the nodes… but not sure that's hugely useful, still not a big Vuo user so probably have more opinions in time to come.
