Turning off nodes

howie's picture

Sorry if this is basic question _ still got many gaps in my vuo workflow.

Im using a select input to choose if a video frame is passed through a resize or not.

When its not being resized i would like the 'resize node & friends' to stop processing.

Is there an easy way to do this ?

VuoTwo Node Stroke

Congratulations Team Vuo on this exciting release, I'm having fun discovering new features. The UI looks fresh. I love the new cable routing, it going to make for tidy patches and easier reading. One thing i miss is the stroke on nodes in the editor UI. I feel like it helped distinguish whats what, especially when cables and nodes overlap. Tiny thing i know, but the first thing i noticed. Thanks_ Howie

Hi Jaymie _ thanks for asking about this. The issue is still present but we have learned to live with it. The vuo patch is attached along with a VDMX project - which sends the syphon and osc controls. If its useful to look into this from a Vuo view then it would be great to hear your thoughts but its not a pressing issue. Let me know if things need more explanation. cheers_ Howie

Thanks for those links, the 2nd one is what i was hoping for but without the need to store values. Basically a separate UI window that is automatically generated from the published inputs when you export to an app. This was a feature or QuartzBuilder, the kineme app that built apps from QC comps and i was expecting vuo apps to have the same functionality. It really does add a lot to the usefulness of being able to create separate apps, i guess for now i'll look using OSC to intract with app. Cheers Howie
