It might be worth making mention of the fact that macro/group/collapsed nodes should be live-editable, unlike the current subcompositions. It's really time consuming atm to make changes to a subcomposition while there is no data coming into/out of it. Saving, re-opening etc to see changes effect.
Is there a feature request I can vote on for just QC-style macros, without all the subcomposition saving etc(like I've seen some around)? I honestly don't know how anyone makes anything of any size considering the time it takes to make subcompositions work, just to clean up the workspace.
Ideally you could select a bunch of pre-connected nodes, right-click them into a macro and all publishing and cable connections are done for you. It's an absolute must but I haven't found a feature request that describes this. Is there one?
I'm trying to make a basic colour picker ui and am trying to use the "sample color from image" node. I've seen the example for this node but my colours will be on a layer, so i think I need to use "receive mouse drags on layer"... but I can't get my head around the coordinates not lining up. Has anyone got any tips?
